Upgrade HTC Desire with Alex V 1.8 Custom ROM Firmware

There is a good news for all HTC Desire users, you can now upgrade with the Alex V 1.8 Custom ROM Firmware. The Alex firmware is been built by Alex V developer. Alex V 1.8 ROM runs on Android Gingerbread OS. Built on the AOSP system the amount of bugs are minimized to a great extend. This tutorial will help you in "How to Upgrade HTC Desire with Alex V 1.8 Custom ROM Firmware".

The Alex V 1.8 is a custom firmware, and not an official release from HTC. But its easy to use and you can install on your HTC Desire. Before starting the upgrade process, we recommend you to backup all your Data. Make sure you backup your SMS, Contacts, Log, Files saved in Phone memory, etc.

Also charge your battery to full, minimum 60% is recommended. Enable HTC Desire USB debugging by going to – “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging”

Steps for How to Upgrade HTC Desire with Alex V 1.8 Custom ROM Firmware:

Download the HTC Desire with Alex V 1.8 Custom ROM Firmware to your PC. Now transfer the Zip file to the phone memory of your HTC Desire. Remember to save the file in root position of the memory, do not save it any sub folder.
Remove the USB cable and disconnect your mobile from your PC.
To load the Alex Custom Firmware, you need to boot your device. So switch off your HTC Desire and press together Volume Down + Power button. This will start the Recovery mode of HTC Desire.
After entering the recovery mode, direct HTC to choose the Firmware Zip which you have downloaded.
Use Up and Down Volume buttons for navigation and Power button to select. Now select "Install Zip from Sd card" and select the Alex V 1.8 Firmware Zip which you have downloaded earlier.
After the selection, the Installation of the Firmware will start and you can relax yourself for next 6-7 minutes.
Now when the ROM firmware is successfully installed, go back to the main recovery menu and select ‘Wipe data/factory reset’ and ‘wipe cache partition’ on the next screen.
After that, Select, ‘+++Go back+++’ and then ‘Reboot System now’ and your HTC Desire will restart with the latest Alex V 1.8 Custom ROM Firmware.

Thats it now you have successfully installed the latest Alex V 1.8 Custom ROM Firmware for your HTC Desire.

HTC Vivid is a well-built device with a snappy dual-core processor. AT&T's hybrid 4G network works well, and the Vivid has the horsepower to do something with those network speeds. HTC Rezound Review: Fastest Android Dual Core Mobile

The HTC Rezound is now officially available in the US market by Verizon from this week. HTC Rezound is brighten by a 4.3 inch Super LCD (HD display with 1280*720 pixels resolution). Rezound is powered by the latest 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, making it the fastest Android phone as of now. The handset is integrated with the Beats Audio, which we saw in recent HTC phones, delivering good quality sound and enriching the multimedia experince.

The handset HTC Rezound weighing 6 ounce, with dimensions of 5.08 x 2.58 x 0.54 inches, is not expected to be in the race of being the thinnest smart phone, but it is solid and easily fits very in your hand. Its a 4G spectrum phone, powered by fastest processor, giving you smooth performance at lightening speed.

Talking about storage, HTC Rezound has 16 Gb internal storage, expandable upto 32 Gb and supported by 1GB RAM, giving you optimum performance. Rezound runs on Google Android 2.3.4 os. HTC has included the latest HTC Sense 3.5, giving you real time updates and adding more features to your OS.

On the phone you can see that HTC has put a lot of Beats Audio branding on the Rezound, you can feel the delicate red touches throughout the phone. There are four soft buttons, in mild red color, beneath the screen, which are usually found in all the HTC smart phones. But, the difference here lies that the buttons are visible, even when the phone is not on.

The design of the Rezound is recognizably HTC, with the 4.3 display taking up most of the front. The red touch-sensitive buttons mentioned are just below the screen, and the 2MP camera is on the upper right. The top of the phone has the 3.5mm audio jack, which accepts the included Beats Audio headphones/headset (more on this later), and the power button. The volume rocker buttons are on the right side, a microUSB port for charging on the left, and nothing on the bottom of the handset.

The integration with the Beats Audio, delivers you a high quality music experience. HTC Rezound surely beats the audio experience, music lovers are left with no better choice than this.

Having a look at the design, the back of the Rezound is a textured material that is grippy and easy to handle in your palms, and the top there us an 8MP camera with dual LED flash next to the lens with a red ring. The back comes off the phone easily, exposing the red innards and providing access to the battery and the LTE SIM card.

The Qualcomm dual-core processor (1.5GHz) is as fast as anything available, and it makes the HTC Rezound as fastest as any Android phone. The operation is fluid, you can click photographs with its 8 MP, record/watch HD video on the brilliant 4.3-inch HD display, which makes colors pop, and enriching your experience every moment.

We saw HTC HD7 entering the market in January 2011. HTC HD7 entered with the price tag of Rs30000/-, but couldn't sustain in the market for long. The HTC HD7 smartphone came with Windows 7 operating system, and it became its biggest constraint to its success.

HTC HD7 running on windows 7, couldn't make sustainable stand in the market, not because of lack of its features, but due to lack of the operating support.
