Toyota 4Runner Review Specifications

Toyota 4Runner is the latest SUV so far by Toyota. Toyota has always tried to provide an affordable SUV by devlivering 4Runner. Its been built on the same platform as the FJ Cruiser. 4Runner had trucklike solid rear axle for rich and optimum off-road performance.

In Toyota's "4Runner" there are three trim levels- SR5, Trail and Limited. All are powered by a 4.0-liter V6 that delivers 270 horsepower and 278 pound-feet of torque. The sole transmission offered is a five-speed automatic. The SR5 and Limited can be had in either rear-wheel or four-wheel drive (part-time system on SR5, full-time system on the Limited), while the Trail comes only with part-time 4WD.

The 4Runner SR5 is packed with with standard alloy wheels, skid plates, foglights, air-conditioning, cruise control, full power accessories with a power rear window, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel and a CD/MP3 audio system. The Trail (available only with 4WD) adds a hood scoop, a locking rear differential, Crawl Control (which automatically modulates throttle and brakes when ascending or descending hills), off-road tires, a rearview camera, water-resistant upholstery and Bluetooth.

The luxurious Toyota Limited edition gets Toyota's X-REAS adaptive suspension dampers (for controlling body roll), keyless entry and ignition, dual-zone automatic climate control and an upgraded audio system with Toyota's Entune smartphone integration system. Major options include a third-row seat and a navigation system. The available Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS) can disconnect the front and rear stabilizer bars at speeds below 40 mph for greater wheel articulation over uneven terrain.

The Trail package offers Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS) as an option. KDSS improves terrain-following ability by disconnecting stabilizer bars to allow for more axle travel, and better suspension articulation in slow uneven terrain.

Toyota's Crawl Control (CRAWL) feature is standard on the Trail grade. CRAWL is an adjustable electro-mechanical system that can be tuned to match the terrain by selecting any of five speed levels. The Trail grade also features a Multi-Terrain Select system which allows the 4x4 operator to dial in wheel slip control to match the terrain.

Toyota 4Runner has excellent off-road ability and strong V6 engine. It's also useful for carrying people and cargo thanks to its available third-row seat and 90 cubic feet of maximum cargo space. Just don't expect it to drive like a car-based crossover - as it is a traditional SUV. If all you need is an urban runabout, there are better choices.

The 4Runner’s interior features are easy to use, it has high-tech off-road aids, tons of interior space for your gear and its optional suspension is capable off the beaten track.

Overall, the Toyota 4Runner is a good SUV for those traveling to remote, unpaved locations. But if you’re just driving the kids to school in the snow or going to and from work on the highway, you’ll be more comfortable in a crossover SUV.

Automobile Lamborghini, Italian car maker is all set to showcase its first new off roader SUV 4×4 car, the Urus SUV Concept at the 2012 Beijing Motor Show, China. According to Chinese press reports, the new Italian brand fireball will be called Lamborghini Urus SUV, the Aurochs Latin name, a fierce bull extinct since the seventeenth century. The Lamborghini Urus SUV is a powerful 4×4 concept SUV. It will be the fastest 4×4 SUV ever made. The Urus — the Latin name of an ancestor of modern bulls in Spain, Lamborghini Urus Concept SUV borrows design cues from the Aventador, Range Rover Evoque and BMW X6.

The Lamborghini Urus SUV concept would be much lighter about 100kg than any other SUV’s like Cayenne or Q7 because of extensive usage of Carbon Fiber. The Urus Super SUV will feature a 584 Bhp V10 engine. The Lamborghini Urus SUV will first showcase in China, that shows the importance of Chinese car market for the brand Automobili Lamborghini. Lamborghini’s largest market is China followed by the United States.

The Urus 4×4 concept SUV pics leaked early ahead of its debut at the 2012 Beijing motor show. Urus SUV Will give tough competition to Porsche Cayenne, BMW X6 and Audi Q7. Audi Q3 Specifications Review

German car manufacturer Audi has confirmed that it will launch the five-door coupe crossover Audi Q3 in India in 2012. The timing is perfect as the SUV will get maximum exposure at the Auto Expo in New Delhi to be held in early 2012. It is quite possible that Audi will launch it at the Expo itself. The price of the Audi Q3 is expected to remain around Rs 24 lakh (Rs 2.4 million).

Audi Q3 is a compact SUV that first appeared worldwide in April 2011. It is the smallest SUV by Audi and is hoped to be followed by a sibling Audi Q1 in the coming years. In order to keep the cost down, Audi Q3 will be assembled in India at the German car maker's assembly plant at Aurangabad. As per initial reports, the Q3 could have 170-hp, 1.8 liter petrol engine and a diesel driven 136-hp, 2L TDI engine. 

Audi Q3 is a car that is 'compact' for the sake of the word and dimensions only and it looks quite big from the outside. The small size SUV is 4.39m long, 1.83m wide and 1.6m high which is in no way smaller in looks.

Besides, the Audi Q3 is also lightweight and aerodynamic with a drag coefficient of only 0.32. Moreover, the Q3 has quite distinct Audi looks with the tornado line in place giving it a sleek and taut appearance. Juxtaposed to BMW X1, that has massive look despite its small size, the Audi Q3 also in way look inferior to it. Where the front of the X1 has kidney grille chrome and black verticals the Audi Q3 has a single frame grill at the front. Similar to the look-big exteriors, Q3 interior is spacious .Ergonomically designed seats, wrap-around, hand, head rests make it more comfortable to ride.

Just as Audi gives preference to individual choice when it comes to interiors, Audi Q3 will also has variety of interior options available regarding the upholstery and material inside. However, the S line Audi Q3 sports version which is a special edition has all black interiors.

The 460 to 1,365 liters luggage compartment is ideal for sports and leisure. The seats are adjustable with heating options. Inside the cabin Audi shows no signs of a cheap material. Real knurled aluminum material for the buttons to the temperature of the A / C feels more refined than the Rolls-Royce engineered.
